Cornerstone Training
WIC

Target Audience: 
State and local agency personnel working with the WIC program
Course Length: 2 1/2 days
Course Description:  
This training will provide a “hands-on” approach to the WIC functions within the Cornerstone software system. The course includes: client enrollment, assignment of risk factors, food package prescription, referral and scheduling clients, food instrument issuance and documentation of case notes.
Performance Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in enrolling a new client on the
    Cornerstone system
  • Complete WIC activities as related to assessment, medical information and case notes
  • Schedule clients for appropriate education contacts
  • Record immunization information for infants and
    children

This activity has been submitted to WNA CEAP for approval to award contact hours. Wisconsin Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
