Target Audience:
State and local agency personnel working in a management capacity with the
WIC program
Course Length: 2 days
Course Description:
This training will provide a comprehensive view of the role of the WIC Coordinator. The course includes: development of WIC clinic
schedules, WIC budgets, caseload management, vendor management, reports, outreach, and other management functions.
Performance Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify federal, state and local mandates as related to
services provided through the WIC program
- Name a variety of ways to conduct outreach
- Calculate the appropriate number of group education
sessions needed based on caseload assignment
- List 5 dos and donts of vendor management
- Explain WIC participant and breastfeeding reports
